abstract The present disclosure relates to a film mask assembly comprising a mask, a film frame, and a film. The film frame has a bottom side attached to the mask and a top side covered by the film. The film frame includes a coating on an inner surface thereof and the coating is configured to monitor environmental changes within the film mask assembly. In an embodiment, the environmental change comprises increased humidity and/or increased chemical ion density within the film mask assembly. Methods of making and using the film mask assembly are also disclosed.
