The present invention provides an organic device comprising an organic layer, wherein the organic layer is non-electroluminescent and comprises a crosslinked metal complex. The crosslinked metal complex can be formed by crosslinking a crosslinkable ruthenium complex comprising a group of ligands coordinated to a central ruthenium atom. One or more of the ligands have attached thereto one or more polymerizable groups capable of polymerizing with other molecules to form intermolecular covalent bonds. In some cases, the organic layer may also contain a dopant. The present invention also provides a method of fabricating an organic light-emitting device, a ruthenium complex, and an organic light-emitting device using certain ruthenium complexes. |
