abstract The present invention provides a material for spraying which can form a spray coating which is excellent in properties such as porosity and hardness in addition to plasma corrosion resistance.nAccording to the technology disclosed in the present invention, a material for spraying is provided. The material for the spray contains a rare earth element oxyhalide (RE-O-X) containing a rare earth element (RE), oxygen (O), and a halogen element (X) as constituent elements. Further, it is characterized in that the molar ratio (X/RE) of the halogen element in the rare earth element oxyhalide to the rare earth element is 1.1 or more.
