Human antibody against Ebola virus glycoprotein |
abstract |
The present invention provides a monoclonal antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof which binds to an anti-Ipora virus glycoprotein, and includes a pharmaceutical composition of the antibody and a method of using the same. The antibodies of the invention are useful for inhibiting or neutralizing Ebola virus activity, thus providing a method of treating or preventing Ebola virus infection in humans. In certain embodiments, the invention provides the use of one or more antibodies that bind to Ebola virus for preventing adhesion and/or entry of Ebola virus into a host cell. The antibodies of the invention can be used prophylactically or therapeutically and can be used alone or in combination with one or more other antiviral agents or vaccines. |
