titleOfInvention Nematic liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display element using same
abstract The present invention relates to a nematic liquid crystal composition having a negative dielectric value anisotropy (??) which is useful as a liquid crystal display material, and a liquid crystal display element using the same.nThe present invention provides a viscosity (η) which is sufficiently small and rotationally viscous (γ1) without reducing the refractive index anisotropy (Δn) and the nematic phase-isotropic liquid phase transition temperature (Tni). A liquid crystal composition which is sufficiently small, has a large elastic constant (K33) and has a large negative dielectric constant anisotropy (??), and further provides a non-display defect of a VA type or the like using the liquid crystal composition. Or a liquid crystal display element in which display failure is suppressed, display quality is excellent, and response speed is fast.nThe liquid crystal display element using the liquid crystal composition of the present invention is useful for a liquid crystal display element for active matrix driving, and is suitable for a liquid crystal display element such as a VA mode or a PSVA mode.
