abstract | The present invention relates to an acid zinc or zinc-nickel alloy electroplating bath composition comprising a source of zinc ions, optionally a source of nickel ions, a source of chloride ions, and at least one dithiocarbamicinylalkylsulfonic acid or a salt thereof. The electroplating bath composition and corresponding electroplating method produce a zinc or zinc-nickel alloy layer having improved throwing power and thickness distribution, especially when the electroplated substrate has a complex shape and/or when in plating and barrel plating. |
