The present invention relates to a zeolite-based adsorbent comprising at least one zeolite of the LSX type FAU structure and comprising rhodium and/or potassium, wherein the outer surface area of the zeolite-based adsorbent, as measured by nitrogen adsorption, is 20 m2. Between g-1 and 100m2.g-1 (including the end value). The invention is also directed to the use of such zeolite-based adsorbents as adsorbents, and also to methods for separating para-xylene from aromatic isomer fractions containing 8 carbon atoms. |
