The present invention relates to a liquid crystal composition having a positive dielectric conductivity and a large dielectric permeability, a low viscosity, and a high light resistance at the same time. It is possible to provide a liquid crystal display element which is low in driving voltage, high in contrast, high in responsiveness, and has high light resistance and excellent display quality without occurrence of afterimage or display failure. A liquid crystal display element using the liquid crystal composition of the present invention is useful for a liquid crystal display element for active matrix driving, and can be applied to liquid crystal display elements such as TN type, IPS type, and FSS type. |
