Disclosed herein is a multilayer article comprising: a core layer comprising a thermoplastic polymer; wherein the thermoplastic polymer comprises a polyolefin, a thermoplastic starch, and a compatibilizer; wherein the compatibilizer does not comprise ethylene acrylic acid; wherein the poly The olefin is not polypropylene and wherein the polyolefin is present in an amount greater than 40% by weight based on the total weight of the core layer; a first layer comprising a thermoplastic resin; and a second layer comprising a thermoplastic resin; The first layer and the second layer are free of filler; wherein the first layer is disposed on a side of the core layer opposite to a side contacting the second layer; wherein the multilayer object has ASTM D 1746 measures greater than 80% optical clarity and less than 8% total turbidity when measured according to ASTM D 1003. |
