abstract |
The present invention provides an apparatus operable to detect different portions of radiation incident on a receiving area of a device, a system including the same device, use of a device, and a method of manufacture. The apparatus includes: a substrate; at least one first part; and at least one second part, the at least one first part and the at least one second part extending substantially perpendicularly from the substrate. At least one first part and at least a second part are operable to selectively absorb different portions of the radiation defined by their respective wavelength ranges and linear polarization. At least one first part and at least one second part are located on the substrate such that at least 50% of the first portion of the radiation incident to the receiving region and at least 50% of the second portion are respectively at least one first part and at least one The second part is selectively absorbed. |
