The present invention provides a focal adhesion kinase inhibitor which is an enzyme involved in the binding of a cytoskeleton of a cell to an extracellular matrix, and is involved in processes such as cell migration, proliferation, and survival. The inhibitor is a derivative of 2,4-diaminopyridine wherein the substituents are as defined. The invention also provides a method of treating cancer using the inhibitor and a method of preparing the inhibitor by palladium catalyzed coupling reaction. |
