The present invention relates to a zeolite adsorbent comprising at least one FAU zeolite with hierarchical porosity and comprising barium or barium and potassium, and whose outer surface area is greater than 20 m2.g<SP>-1</SP>, and the content of non-zeolite phase is between 6% and 12% by weight relative to the total weight of the adsorbent. The present invention also relates to the use of such a zeolite adsorbent as an adsorption agent, and also to the process for separating para-xylene from aromatic isomer fractions containing 8 carbon atoms. |
