The present invention provides a composition which can be formed in a film having excellent absorption and visible transparency in a near-infrared region. Further, the present invention provides a cured film, a near-infrared absorption filter, a solid-state imaging element, an infrared sensor, and a compound. The composition contains a near-infrared absorbing material having a maximum absorption wavelength in a wavelength range of 700 nm to 1000 nm and an absorbance at a wavelength of 550 nm divided by an absorbance at a maximum absorption wavelength of 0.015 or less. The near-infrared absorbing material preferably has a half-value width of a maximum absorption wavelength of 60 nm or less. Further, the near-infrared absorbing material is preferably a compound having a pyrrolopyrrole skeleton, more preferably a pyrrolopyrrole boron compound. |
