abstract A polymeric mesh fabric includes polymeric strands and a first polymeric strip and a second polymeric strip. The first polymeric strip and the second polymeric strip each independently have an aspect ratio of at least three to one, and are intermittently joined to the major surface of the polymeric strand and have symmetrically disposed on a centerline that bisects the major surface The first edge and the second edge of the opposite side. The mesh fabric has a first major surface and a second major surface that are opposite of the first strip and the major surfaces of the second strips. The first major surface of the mesh fabric includes the first edges of the first strips, and the second major surface includes the second edges of the second strips. The first strips do not extend to the second major surface and the second strips do not extend to the first major surface. Articles including the mesh fabric, extrusion dies, and methods useful for preparing the woven fabric are also disclosed.
