abstract | The present invention provides a germination method capable of efficiently and effectively sterilizing spore forming bacteria irrespective of a strain. The present invention provides a germination method of the following step 2 after the end of the following step 1. That is, in the first step, the spore forming bacteria are brought into contact with the dipicolinic acid or a salt thereof at a pH of 6 or less, and after the completion of the step 1, the spore forming bacteria are sterilized as the step 2. Further, the present invention provides a germination method having a period in which the following step 1 and the following step 2A are simultaneously performed. That is, as a step 1, the spore forming bacteria are brought into contact with the pyridine dicarboxylic acid or a salt thereof at a pH of 6 or less, and as a step 2A, the spore forming bacteria are physically sterilized. |
