Provided herein are methods for increasing the effectiveness of a medical therapy by administering an agent that suppresses a biological injury response comprising cellular therapy-induced cellular senescence administered to an individual. In certain embodiments, methods for improving the toxicity of the medical therapy comprising administering an anti-aging agent that disrupts senescent cells or promotes destruction of such senescent cells are provided. In certain embodiments, an anti-aging agent that provides for the destruction of the senescent cells or promotes destruction of the senescent cells is provided for use in ameliorating the toxicity of the medical therapy in an individual having cancer and receiving the medical therapy And methods for inhibiting cancer metastasis. |
