titleOfInvention Driver and method for driving a light-emitting element using an external clock to generate an internal clock based on a phase-locked loop and associated display
abstract Embodiments of the present invention provide techniques for reducing the need for external high frequency clock signals for the driver. According to an embodiment of the invention, a driver for driving a light-emitting element includes: a data register and a phase-locked loop. The data register is used to store one of the driving materials required to drive the light-emitting element. The phase locked loop is configured to generate a second signal according to an input signal. The operation of the data register is controlled according to one of the input signal and the second signal, and the driving of the light-emitting element is controlled according to one of the input signal and the second signal. .
