The present invention also provides a process for preparing the printing ink or coating composition comprising forming an acrylic resin emulsion of the formula I by copolymerizing a monomer in water by adding an epoxy ester resin to a solvent An epoxy ester resin dispersion is formed to form, and the acrylic resin emulsion is combined with the epoxy resin ester dispersion to provide the composition. Finally, the present invention provides a method for preparing an article having a coating or ink printed thereon, comprising applying the ink or coating composition to the surface of the article and drying the composition. The composition exhibits high resistance to alkali, acid and/or water softener.
