abstract |
The present invention provides a fully implantable device for monitoring at least one physiological parameter of a body. The apparatus includes at least one sensor assembled to generate a sensor signal representative of the physiological parameter, wherein each sensor has at least one electrode and at least one membrane adapted to separate the electrode from one of the exterior of the device medium. The device also has a programmable wafer that is assembled to receive, process, and emit the sensor signals, and a housing adapted to receive the sensor and the programmable wafer. The invention further includes an interrogator for working with the device, and a set comprising the device and a component for implanting the device. Still further, the invention includes a system for monitoring at least one physiological parameter of a body, the system comprising a fully implantable device. |
