abstract |
The present invention provides prodrug antibodies that specifically bind to a tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) only after exposure to a protease of the coagulation cascade. The prodrug antibody can be used to treat bleeding disorders such as hemophilia. When used in such treatments, these prodrug antibodies show an increase in half-life relative to other anti-TFPI antibodies while reducing the likelihood of side effects such as thrombosis. |
