Coating system |
abstract |
The present invention provides a coating system comprising 30 to 90 parts by weight of a bioresin component and 10 to 70 parts by weight of an isocyanate component in an amount of 100 parts by weight of the coating system, and a solid percentage thereof of more than 60%. The bioresin component comprises an acrylic polymer and a biopolyol formed from a natural oil. A method of forming a coating on a substrate using the coating system comprises the steps of combining the bioresin component with the isocyanate component to form a reaction mixture having a solids percentage greater than 60%, and applying the reaction mixture to the substrate And curing the reaction mixture to form the coating on the substrate. |
