titleOfInvention Catalyst preparation and hydrogenation method
abstract The present invention discloses a method of hydrogenating a dinitrile to form a diamine. A method of preparing a catalyst for the hydrogenation reaction by reducing iron oxide with hydrogen is also disclosed. The catalyst ages during the preparation of the diamine. The aged catalyst is partially reactivated by interrupting the dinitrile and ammonia feed streams of the reactor while maintaining the flow of hydrogen to the reactor.
