abstract The present invention discloses a method of treating a cellulose slurry to improve drainage, which comprises adding PEO to the cellulose furnish in an amount of from 0.1 pounds to 10 pounds per ton and synthesizing the polymer in an amount of from 0.1 pounds to 10 pounds per ton. The ingredients are added to the furnish such that the furnish drains and forms a paper product.
