A method for producing a liquid crystal polyester obtained by reacting a diol of an aromatic diol of a structural unit (I) with an aromatic dicarboxylic acid.n□ (The molecular weight of Ar is less than 200 and is a divalent aromatic group belonging to an aromatic hydrocarbon group)nFormula (A) R-SO3H (R: alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms)nAccording to the present invention, it is possible to effectively obtain a liquid crystal polyester which is excellent in tensile strength and latent property of a molded article and has a small amount of gas generated. |
