The present invention relates to a nematic liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable compound and having a dielectric anisotropy (Δε) which is useful as a liquid crystal display material, and a liquid crystal display element using the same.nThe liquid crystal composition of the present invention can polymerize a polymerizable compound by ultraviolet irradiation for forming a device without hindering the generation of a pretilt angle of the liquid crystal molecules, thereby providing a proper pretilt angle, good alignment stability, and no display failure. Or PSA-type display elements with poor display quality and excellent display quality and fast response.nThe liquid crystal display element using the liquid crystal composition of the present invention can be used for a liquid crystal display element for active matrix driving, and can be applied to a liquid crystal display element of a PSVA mode. |
