abstract | A switchable planar/stereoscopic (2D/3D) display device includes a display panel and a switching unit. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a display unit between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and the display unit is located above the first surface. The switching unit on the second surface includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, a switching dielectric layer between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and a third substrate. The second electrode layer is located on the second surface, the first electrode layer is located on the third substrate, and the switching dielectric layer and the third substrate are respectively located on opposite surfaces of the first electrode layer. The present invention further provides a method of fabricating a switchable planar/stereoscopic (2D/3D) display device. |
