abstract |
The present invention discloses a method for preparing a nylon salt solution comprising a diamine feed. The diamine is added to a recycle loop of a continuous stirred tank reactor in which the diamine and nylon salt solution are pumped. A nylon salt solution was prepared by feeding a dicarboxylic acid monomer and a diamine monomer to a single continuous stirred tank reactor. The dicarboxylic acid is metered into the reactor from the weight loss feeder based on the weight. The nylon salt solution is continuously formed and has low variability with respect to the target pH and/or target salt solution concentration. The nylon salt solution is transferred directly to the storage tank after leaving the continuous stirred tank reactor without further monomer addition, pH adjustment or salt solution adjustment. |
