abstract |
The present invention provides a composition for preparing terephthalic acid; the composition contains p-toluic acid in an amount of from 0.05 to 4% by weight based on the total mass of the composition; and contains 0.02 - based on the total mass of the composition. At least one catalyst having a content of 2.5%; at least one ionic liquid containing a content of from 0.04 to 50% by weight based on the total mass of the composition; containing at least one carboxylic acid solvent; and containing p-xylene. The disclosed invention also provides a process for preparing terephthalic acid. |
