abstract |
The present invention is an antibiotic composition, a respirator based system and method associated with respirator-associated pneumonia (VAP) and respirator-associated tracheal (VAT) bronchitis. An antibiotic combination of fosfomycin and an aminoglycoside (preferably amikacin) is administered via an in-line nebulizer in the airway of the respirator. Humidification conditions result in improved aerosol aerosols for the treatment of VAP and VAT. |
