| abstract | The present invention provides a system, method, and apparatus for displaying images using a plurality of frame-specific contribution colors (FSCC), including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium. In one aspect, an input is configured to receive image data corresponding to a current image frame. The contribution color selection logic is configured to obtain a plurality of FSCCs based on the received image data for use in conjunction with a set of frame independent contribution colors (FICC) to generate the current image frame on a display. Additionally, the sub-frame generation logic is configured to process the received image data of the current image frame to generate at least two sub-frames of each of the FICCs and the plurality of obtained FSCCs, such that The output of one of the generated sub-frames results in the display of the current image frame. |
