titleOfInvention Method for producing acetic acid
abstract The present invention provides a method for efficiently removing acetaldehyde and stably producing high purity acetic acid. In the presence of a catalyst system, methanol and carbon monoxide are continuously reacted in the carbonylation reactor 1, and the reaction mixture is continuously supplied to the flasher 2 to form a volatile phase (2A) containing acetic acid and methyl iodide, and the volatile phase is obtained. (2A) continuously supplied to the separation column 3, separated into an overhead product (3A) containing methyl iodide and acetaldehyde, and a fraction (3B) containing acetic acid, and the volatile phase (2A) and/or the top of the column The distillate (3A) is cooled in the first condensers C1 and C3 having a predetermined cooling temperature, and the uncondensed gas components are further cooled and condensed in the second condensers C2 and C4 to form a lower temperature and acetaldehyde. Concentrated concentrate concentrated at high concentration. The high concentration acetaldehyde concentrate is distilled in the distillation column 6, and acetaldehyde is removed efficiently.
