abstract | The present invention discloses a method of producing polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether. The invention comprises the following steps: (1) after washing the reactor, charging the reactor with nitrogen gas and then vacuuming to remove the moisture therein and reducing the oxygen content in the reactor; (2) charging the reactor Nitrogen is pressurized, methanol and sodium methoxide as a catalyst are added to the reactor and heated; (3) ethylene oxide is added to the reactor at a rate of 800 to 1200 kg/h for pre-reaction; (4) After the methanol in the reactor is completely reacted with ethylene oxide, the ethylene oxide is fed into the reactor at a rate of 8000 to 12000 kg/h for reaction; (5) after the reaction is completed, the reaction product is cooled and adjusted. The pH is 5~7 and is transported to the tank area. The method of the invention avoids the production of polyethylene glycol and improves the purity of the product; the reaction time of the invention is short, the yield is high, and the safety is good. |
