Described herein is an engineered Transgenic Gene Integration Platform (ETIP) that can be inserted randomly or at a position in a plant genome to facilitate rapid screening and detection of complete mapping of the ETIP locus location ( Includes GOIs at the 5' and 3' ends. An element of this specification is the introduction of this specific double-strand break in this ETIP. Certain embodiments describe ETIP using zinc finger nuclease conjugates, but which may utilize other calibration techniques, such as meganuclease, CRISPRs, TALs or leucine chain regions. Also described herein are compositions and methods for producing a genetically transformed plant, wherein the donor or payload DNA exhibits a product (eg, a protein or RNA) of one or more exogenous nucleic acid sequences that have a stable integration ETIP of plant cells. In a specific embodiment, the ETIP facilitates candidate genes and plant expression vectors for expression in the development phase of the test. |
