The present invention relates to a nematic liquid crystal composition which can be used as a liquid crystal display material having a positive dielectric anisotropy (??) and a liquid crystal display element using the same. The liquid crystal composition of the present invention has a large absolute value of dielectric anisotropy and a low viscosity, and a liquid crystal display element using the same can provide high contrast, high-speed responsiveness, and no burn-in or display. A liquid crystal display element having excellent display quality. The liquid crystal display element using the liquid crystal composition of the present invention can simultaneously suppress high-speed response and display failure, and is particularly useful for a liquid crystal display element for active matrix driving, and can be applied to liquid crystal display elements such as IPS type or TN type. |
