abstract | The liquid crystal composition of the present invention is used for a liquid crystal display element such as an IPS type or a TN type which is highly reactive and which is less likely to cause display defects such as image sticking and dripping marks. The liquid crystal composition contains a component containing a positive dielectric component of a positively dielectric compound and a component having a dielectric anisotropy of more than -2 and less than +2 neutral dielectric, and has a liquid crystal phase having a wide temperature range. It has good viscosity, good solubility at low temperatures, high specific resistance and voltage retention, and excellent characteristics for heat or light stability. |
