The present invention provides a phosphor having a light-emitting intensity which is different from that of the conventional phosphor, and which is high in luminous intensity and chemically and thermally stable even when combined with an LED of 470 nm or less. The phosphor of the present invention comprises at least one of A element, D element, E element and X element (A is selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba, and D is selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, Sn, and Ti. At least one of Zr and Hf, and E is selected from at least one of B, Al, Ga, In, Sc, Y, and La, and X is selected from at least one of O, N, and F. (D, E) crystals represented by 5X9, or crystals represented by Ca2Si5O3N6, or inorganic crystals having the same crystal structure as that represented by Ca2Si5O3N6, M element (M system selected from Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd) An inorganic compound of at least one of Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, and Yb. |
