The present invention provides a phosphor having a light-emitting intensity which is different from that of the conventional phosphor, and which is high in luminous intensity and chemically and thermally stable even when combined with an LED of 470 nm or less. The phosphor of the present invention comprises at least one of A element, D element, E element and X element (A is selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba, and D is selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, Sn, and Ti. At least one of Zr and Hf, and E is selected from at least one of B, Al, Ga, In, Sc, Y, and La, and X is selected from at least one of O, N, and F.
