| abstract |
A device is described that includes at least one processing unit and stores a multi-modal mapping program for execution by the at least one processing unit. The program includes a user interface (UI). The UI includes a display area for displaying a two-dimensional (2D) representation of one map or one of three-dimensional (3D) rendering of the map. The UI also includes an optional 3D control item for directing the program to transition between the 2D presentation and the 3D presentation, and for displaying the first appearance of the 2D presentation of the map in the display area and A second appearance is displayed when the 3D rendering of the map is displayed in the display area. |
