Polyvinyl alcohol polymer film and method of producing the same |
abstract |
The present invention provides a PVA-based polymer film which can produce a polarizing film having a high absorbance in a long wavelength region and a high degree of polarization, and a method for producing the same. The present invention is a PVA-based polymer film having a crystal long period of 14.5 to 16.0 nm in water. Moreover, the present invention is a method for producing a PVA-based polymer film, which is obtained by forming a PVA-based polymer film using a film forming apparatus including a plurality of drying rolls and heat-treating rolls having mutually parallel rotating axes. I) shows that T1→2 becomes 60~75 and is dried, T1→2={T1×(40-V1)+T2×(V1-V2)}/(40-V2) (I) (T1 indicates the first 1 surface temperature (°C) of the drying roll, V1 represents the volatilization rate (% by mass; but 10 to 30) of the film when peeled from the first drying roll, and T2 represents the second drying roll to the last drying roll. The average value (°C) of the surface temperatures of the respective drying rolls, and V2 represents the volatilization ratio (% by mass) of the film when peeled off from the last drying roll. |
