abstract | An alignment film in which the film is not easily broken by the rubbing treatment is sought. A composition for an alignment film and an alignment film which can uniformly exhibit alignment characteristics by rubbing treatment are sought. An alignment film and a liquid crystal display element which can be produced in high yield are sought. Accordingly, the present invention provides a composition for a liquid crystal alignment film comprising a group consisting of polyester-polyproline (A1) and a quinone imine "polyester-polyimine (A2)" One or more kinds of the above polyester-polyglycine (A1) are obtained using at least a polyvalent hydroxy compound (a1), a diamine (a2), and a compound (a3) having two or more acid anhydride groups. |
