The present invention relates to a thermally reversible self-healing mixture comprising a polybutadiene compounded with at least one ring-opening agent and at least one cyclic compound, the cyclic compound comprising at least one heterocyclic compound and a graft-implementing moiety, wherein The ring-opening agent is capable of opening the cyclic compound to provide at least one open functional group capable of binding to the ring-opening agent, and the cyclic compound is capable of grafting a portion of the polymer backbone by grafting. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of such a thermoreversible self-healing mixture and its use in the preparation of molded articles. |
