abstract |
An ink jet printer includes an ink jet head for ejecting a plurality of color planes of a plurality of different inks. Each color plane has a nozzle array defined in the nozzle surface of the inkjet head and supplies the same ink to each nozzle in an individual color plane. The ink jet head is piped so that a first color plane of the first ink having a relatively low brightness is ejected between the second and third color planes respectively ejecting the second and third inks having relatively high brightness. A plurality of ink storage tanks are in fluid communication with the inkjet heads, the ink storage tanks containing the first, second, and third inks. The surfactant content in the first ink is at least 0.4% by weight greater than the surfactant content in the second and third inks. |
