abstract |
The display medium of the present invention includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a spacer member, and a particle dispersion. The first substrate is transparent to light. The second substrate is opposite the first substrate and has a plurality of electrode portions placed at intervals. There is a difference in reflectance between the electrode portion of the second substrate and the plurality of boundary portions between the electrode portions for light incident from the first substrate side. The difference is 12 percentage points or less. The spacer member is placed between the first substrate and the second substrate at another interval, the spacer member being transparent to light and maintaining a gap between the first substrate and the second substrate. The particle dispersion is filled between the first substrate and the second substrate, and includes particles moving in a direction of an electric field formed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a dispersion medium. |
