abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for producing a pressure-sensitive adhesive having a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive produced by such a method, particularly a polyacrylate-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. A surprising finding is that in the presence of a diradical initiator which is cyclized to form a diradical, a polymer having a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution can be produced, in particular, by the RAFT method. In particular, polyacrylates having a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution are suitable as shear-resistant pressure-sensitive adhesives. |
