abstract The present invention relates to a conductive paste composition, particularly for use in a solar cell, comprising silver particles, a glass frit, an organic vehicle, and a nanoparticle additive. The additive comprises a conductive metal, a metal alloy and/or a metal halide nanoparticle such as nickel, chromium, cobalt, titanium or alloys thereof, telluride and mixtures thereof. When the glue is used to form electrical contacts on a solar cell, it provides reduced contact resistance between the glue and the substrate and improved solar cell efficiency.
