The present invention provides an activated carbon fiber nonwoven fabric which is composed of a fiber having a fiber diameter capable of reducing the pressure loss of the element, and has a tensile strength which is not damaged even if it is strongly wound around the cylinder. The activated carbon fiber nonwoven fabric of the present invention is characterized in that a mixture of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of fatty acid amides, phosphates, and celluloses is mixed in a phenol resin, and the resulting hardening is obtained. The phenol-based fiber is obtained by carbonization and activation, and the activated carbon fiber-based fiber has a diameter of 21 μm to 40 μm, a toluene adsorption rate of 20% to 75%, and a tensile strength of the nonwoven fabric of 4 N/cm 2 or more. |
