titleOfInvention | Anthraquinone composition for preventing liver fibrosis |
abstract | The present invention evaluates the effect of an anthraquinone composition on thioacetamide (TAA)-induced liver fibrosis in rats. Rats were intraperitoneally injected with thioacetamide three times a week for 8 weeks, and three groups of rats were given 0.5% CMC and Antrodia camphorata (131,393 mg/kg). Thioacetamide caused a decrease in plasma albumin value and γ-GT activity in rats, and significantly increased spleen weight and liver collagen content, decreased liver protein content, decreased liver glutathione content, and increased lipid peroxidation. Anthraquinone significantly reduced the plasma ALT and AST values of thioacetamide, increased serum albumin content and decreased γ-GT activity in the eighth week, and increased glutathione content and glutathione peroxidase activity, and decreased The degree of lipid peroxidation. The above results clearly show that the Antrodia camphorata composition can inhibit the production of liver nodules and bile duct fibrosis, and reduce the liver fibrosis induced by thioacetamide. |
