The present invention provides a sprayable aqueous composition containing one of zolpidem or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a solubilizing agent, and a water-soluble polymer having bioadhesive properties. When intranasal administration is carried out using a spraying device, the active ingredient is rapidly absorbed, the intranasal residence time is prolonged, and the bioavailability is improved. The composition can be used to treat insomnia-related diseases such as difficulty falling asleep or night awakening. |
