Self-identifying modulated light source |
abstract |
In one aspect, the present invention is directed to a self-identifying light source comprising: an emitter that produces visible light; and an autonomous modulation of the visible light generated by the emitter that is automatically and continuously modulated in electrical communication with the emitter The modulated visible light represents a discrimination code of the light source. In some embodiments, the emitter is a light emitting diode (LED) and further includes an LED driver that provides a particular voltage and current to each of the LEDs in the light source. |
