Transparent composite substrate and display element substrate |
abstract |
The transparent composite substrate of the present invention has a composite layer comprising a glass cloth composed of a collection of glass fibers and a resin material impregnated with the glass cloth, and the aggregate of the glass fibers itself has a difference in refractive index, and the refractive index thereof The difference between the maximum value and the minimum value is 0.008 or less. Thereby, a transparent composite substrate excellent in optical characteristics and a display element substrate having high reliability of the transparent composite substrate can be provided. In addition, the glass cloth is obtained by arranging at least one first glass fiber bundle obtained by tying a plurality of glass fibers, and at least one second glass fiber bundle entangled with a plurality of glass fibers to form a glass woven fabric. The ratio of the first ratio of the glass fiber to the cross section of the first glass fiber bundle having a unit width to the second ratio of the cross section of the glass fiber bundle of the second glass fiber bundle per unit width is preferably 1.04 or more and 1.40 or less. |
