titleOfInvention Multi-purpose power management system and method
abstract A smart client power management unit (PMU) with built-in energy storage, the smart client power management unit can be connected to a utility grid or a micro grid to help the grid to provide intelligent command response management while effectively providing clean energy to Users of the grid, especially for renewable energy-based grids, need to effectively manage the redundancy caused by the large amount of available power generated via these energy sources. The PMU accepts direct current (DC) power input, provides metering information to the grid for power usage, outputs different DC voltages and a standard AC voltage to operate various appliances, communicates with the grid for redundant management and safe operation, The spare internal storage is charged to provide power during grid downtime, and a user interface is provided to provide relevant information to the user. Again, it can be activated and deactivated to allow for a controlled level of consumption, meaning that the device will remain enabled until a certain amount of power flows through the device, similar to a prepaid handset that remains enabled until the account balance is exhausted.
